Context
Mr. Vuong Tuong from Chu Tien Chan village, Kaifeng, had a son who was kidnapped at noon on the 8th of the 2nd lunar month. Ten days of searching turned up nothing. The hexagram cast was Ding.

Analysis
The Use Spirit Children Wei Earth appears twice; we take the Wei Earth line. Wei is in the Kun palace (southwest). The Subject line leaving Empty signals one who travelled afar will return; the Use Spirit restraining the Subject line is the image of return. On the 15th (Yi-Hai day) the Subject line leaves Empty; on the 17th (Ding-Chou day) the still Use Spirit meets a clash — the image of return.
Actual outcome
On 11 March (the 15th of the 2nd lunar month) the child was found in Tan Trang village to the southwest, about 40 km away.
