Meaning
When the family has a happy wedding event, both the groom's and bride's families must perform the rite reporting to the household deities and ancestors to announce the event and ask blessings for the couple.
Offering preparation
A meat offering tray of sticky rice and chicken, incense, flowers, votive paper. Both the groom's and bride's families perform the rite on the days of chạm ngõ, ăn hỏi, and the wedding.

The wedding rite is now established. May the son have a wife (if the groom's family),
May the daughter have a husband (if the bride's family)
This modest offering is respectfully presented,
May the marriage be a beautiful union,
May they grow old together for a hundred years,
The two families durable and firm,
The rites of household and home,
May they have children and means.
Like the harmony of zither and qin,
Looking to the blessing of the ancestors.
