Namo Amitābha Buddha! (3 times) I respectfully bow to the nine directions of Heaven, the ten directions of all Buddhas, the Buddhas of the ten directions. I respectfully bow to the year's Reigning Hành Khiển, the Grand Duke (Thái Tuế) of supreme virtue, venerable deity. I respectfully bow to the local Tutelary Deities and Great Sovereigns. I respectfully bow to the Five-Direction, Five-Earth, Long Mạch, Wealth Deity, and Kitchen God of Blessing, and all the venerable deities. I respectfully bow to the local deities overseeing this region. Today is the .......... day of the .......... month, year ........... The faithful (we) are: ……………………………………………………… Residing at: ……………………………………………………………………… We sincerely prepare incense, flowers, offerings, and other gifts laid out before the altar. With sincere heart we report that the faithful has built (or rented) a shop at this place at (address) ……………………………………… (if it is an office or workshop, the faithful is the Director or Head of the entire organization). We now wish to open and begin business (or production) to serve the community by trading goods and supporting daily life. We have therefore chosen an auspicious day and month, prepared offerings, reported to the venerable deities, and made offerings to the hundred spirits — humbly asking their consideration. We sincerely invite the Reigning Mandarin, the Reigning Local Mandarin, the Spirit Mandarin and Earth Deity, the Kitchen God of Blessing, the Earth Lords and Long Mạch venerable deities, and all the deities overseeing this region to manifest before the altar, partake of these offerings, and bear witness to our sincerity. We humbly ask the deities to bless our trade with favor, our work with ease, our fortune to grow, and our people with peace. May the four seasons hold no misfortune, may the eight solar terms bring auspicious signs, may every wish be granted and every prayer fulfilled. The faithful also invites the spirits of former and latter occupants and the wandering souls dwelling in this region to come behold the venerable deities, partake of these offerings, and shelter the faithful — that fortune flow smoothly and wealth gather like wind and clouds. We offer modest gifts with sincere hearts; before the altar we humbly bow and ask to be sheltered and supported. Namo Amitābha Buddha! (3 times)
