Tân Gia rite — celebrating a new home, reporting to the Kitchen Gods and Earth Deity

Meaning

The Tân Gia rite is held with solemnity after the nhập trạch rite. The head of household reports to the Kitchen Gods and Earth Deity to give thanks and ask shelter for the family living in the new home.

Offering preparation

Present incense, flowers, votive paper, betel and areca, and a meat offering tray to the Kitchen Gods and Earth Deity. Invite friends and relatives to attend the rite.
