Meaning
The Tiền Chủ is the first owner of the home. By folk belief, the spirit of the Tiền Chủ still remembers the home. Worshipping the Tiền Chủ helps the family enjoy peace and freedom from disturbance.
Offering preparation
Offerings include incense, flowers, betel, fruit. The Tiền Chủ altar is an outdoor incense column built in the yard. Offer on the 15th, 1st of the month, festivals, or when the family encounters misfortune.

The faithful sincerely prepares offerings: incense, flowers, tea, fruit; lights incense of devotion before the altar; with sincere heart we respectfully invite: August Heaven and Sovereign Earth and all the venerable deities, the local Tutelary Deity, the Earth Deity of this place, the household Kitchen Gods and all the venerable deities, and the household Tiền Chủ. We humbly ask the venerable deities and the household Tiền Chủ to have compassion on the faithful, descend before the altar, bear witness to our sincerity, partake of these offerings, shelter and support our whole family with peace and ease, all things good, the household prospering and growing, fortune and wealth advancing, the way of the heart opening, every wish granted, every prayer fulfilled.
We offer modest gifts with sincere hearts; before the altar we humbly bow and ask to be sheltered and supported.
