Preparation:
The Thủy Diệu star-dispelling rite is performed on the 21st of each month, with 7 candles and a black tablet. Thủy Diệu is a star of fortune and blessing, but inauspicious for women — ruling accidents and mourning.
Offerings include:
- Gold paper money;
- Incense and flowers;
- Oản cakes;
- Black hat;
- 36 paper coins.
Face due north to perform the star-dispelling rite.
