When ill, praying for healing

Meaning

When the family has someone ill, the rite invokes the Medicine Buddha — the Eastern Lord of dispelling calamity and granting longevity — and Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, asking them to save and bring healing.

Offering preparation

Offerings include incense, flowers, fruit, votive paper. May be presented at home or at a pagoda.
