The faithful sincerely comes before the Buddha-altar at the Cửa Hoa shrine, respectfully presenting offerings, incense, flowers, gold and silver and pure gifts; with the five-body bow, with single-hearted reverence we perform the rite beneath the pink lotus seat.
We humbly ask the Great Bodhisattva not to forsake the friend-vow, by the Buddha's entrustment from the Tāvatiṃsa heaven, to shelter and save us and our family as a kindly mother shelters her newborn. By the willow-water, may the mortal heart pray for pure grace, may good wishes be exalted. By the radiance of compassion, may worldly karma be lightened, the heart of the Way blooming. Save your disciple and our whole family — through the three months of summer and the nine months of winter, may we enjoy abundant health, blessing and longevity, advancing fortune and wealth, work flowing smoothly, all things good, every wish granted, every prayer fulfilled.
What we ask for, may it be granted; what we wish for, may it be fulfilled.
We offer modest gifts with sincere hearts and humbly ask to be sheltered and supported.
